Your energy body is formed with chakras and energy channels.
Chakra means
wheel of light.
There are 7 major chakras which are the energy centers of the body. The chakras appear as wheel-like vortexes of pure energy and are sometimes referred to as lotuses. They spin at a great speed and in a deeply spiritual person they become spheres of radiant energy.
The chakras lie along the spine connected by what is known as your shushumna and through them your entire being everywhere becomes receptive and communicates with the cosmic or universal energies.
The stresses and traumas of daily living, painful experiences, and our thought patterns and even an excess of joy can create blockages and imbalances to our energy flow. A blockage in the energy flow of the chakras as well as an excess of energy can lead to an imbalance and disharmony on the physical, mental and spiritual level. This means that any blockages or imbalances can be reflected in the body as illness or disease.
We are kept from the experience of Spirit because our inner world is cluttered with past traumas. As we begin to clear away this clutter, the energy of divine light and love begins to flow through our beings
